The glass exterior of the 11-story Thompson Hotel is now taking shape in Hollywood.
The project, which is being developed by Relevant Group, is located at 1523 N. Wilcox Avenue. Upon completion, now on pace to occur in 2020, the project will feature 190 guest in addition to meeting space, a fitness center, and various food and beverage venues.
Steinberg Hart designed the approximately 115-foot-tall building, in association with RCVA and interior design firm Tara Bernerd & Partners.
Relevant Group is also developing a Tommie Hotel a short distance north, and has receive approves for an eight-story hotel at the corner of Selma and Wilcox Avenues.
The developer owns several properties on surrounding blocks, and has sought to brand the neighborhood as the "Vinyl District." Its other properties include the Dream Hollywood at Selma and Cahuenga Boulevard, and the 1930s Hollywood Citizen News Building, which is to be restored as event space.
