At Hollywood and Vine, a blue construction crane towers above the former Redbury Hotel, as the Los Angeles outpost of the London-based Hospital Club takes shape.

Dubbed h.Club LA, the five-story property will offer "dedicated space for artists and entrepreneurs to connect and collaborate."  Other offerings will include space for musical performances, film screenings, album launches, and other events.  Plans also call for 36 bedrooms and amenities such as a rooftop restaurant, an outdoor pool deck, and co-working space.

The Hospital Club was founded in 2004 by philanthropist and Microsoft co-founder Paul Allen.

Completion of h.Club LA is anticipated later this year.
