In a ribbon-cutting ceremony held earlier this month, non-profit organization Search to Involve Pilipino Americans (SIPA) and Linc Housing Corp. joined with a group of local elected officials to mark the completion of HiFi Collective, a new affordable and permanent supportive housing complex in Historic Filipinotown.

Located at 3200 W. Temple Street, the new five-story building features 63 residential units in addition to amenities, a small business center, and a community cultural center. Additionally, SIPA’s new headquarters, scheduled for completion in Spring 2023, will be located on the third floor.

All apartments are being filled through referrals from the County of Los Angeles Coordinated Entry System, with more than 40 percent of the building now occupied.

Residents of HiFi Collective have access to common areas including a community room, a computer lab, and a community kitchen. Likewise, on-site supportive services are provided - including mental and physical health services, employment counseling, job placement, education, and substance abuse counseling - with funding through Measure H.

D33 Design & Planning and Synthesis Design + Architecture designed HiFi Collective, which is a podium-type building clad in stucco.
