Brilliant Corners has announced the grand opening of Alvarado & Temple Apartments, a new Project Homekey development in the City of Los Angeles.

Built as predominantly market-rate developments at 2812 W. Temple Street in Historic Filipinotown and 916 N. Alvarado Street in Echo Park, the buildings will instead open with 66 apartments—  64 units of which would be for people and families experiencing homelessness.

In addition to housing, both properties will include on-site services for residents by Brilliant Corners and rooftop gardens.

The large project on Temple Street is also adorned with a mural by local artist and Brilliant Corners staff member Hedy Torres titled “The New Beginning.” The mural received the support of the The James Irvine Foundation Leadership Awards, Tre Borden Co, and Capitol Impact.
