Six months after breaking ground in Lincoln Heights, the concrete podium of a mixed-use complex from 4Site Real Estate is beginning to rise just east of the Los Angeles River in Lincoln Heights

Located on the south side of Barranca Street between San Fernando Road and Avenue 21, the six-story development will include 100 residential units and a 200-key hotel above 5,000 square feet of ground-floor retail and a 135-car garage.  Plans call for a mix of one- and two-bedroom apartments - including 45 live/work units and five extremely low-income affordable units.  

The Barranca Street project is designed by Tighe Architecture is designing the mixed-use building to include a jagged roofline with arched openings along its ground floor.  Proposed amenities include a gym, a courtyard, and a pool deck. 

4Site, which is among the first developers to begin work on new construction in the Cornfield Arroyo Specific Plan area, has also invested in several in several new apartment buildings in the Westlake neighborhood.

The Lincoln Heights project is located a few blocks south of properties owned by the Los Angeles Bureau of Sanitation and Goodwill Southern California, which have discussed partnering on a mixed-use campus featuring offices, commercial space, and affordable housing.
