In San Pedro, the various components of the Ponte Vista development continue to take shape at the former site of a navy housing complex.
The project, also known as Highpark, spans across a roughly 61.5-acre property at 26900 S. Western Avenue which has views of the nearby Port of Los Angeles. Harridge Development Group, which reportedly paid more than $150 million for the property in 2018, has retained ownership of much of the property, although sections have been sold off to companies including Taylor Morrison, KB Home, and D.R. Horton.
At the southernmost section of the property, construction is ongoing for a project within the specific plan area which will consist of 34 buildings featuring a total of 212 dwelling units when completed.
WHA is designing the new construction, which is depicted in elevation plans as a series of contemporary three-story structures clad in stucco and wood veneer.
The complex will feature more than 670 homes when its full buildout is completed.
