Co-working firm IgnitedSpaces is expanding its amenitized office space concept to Downtown Los Angeles.
According to a press release, the Hollywood-based company has signed a lease with landlord Jamison Services to occupy approximately 42,000 square feet in the California Market Center (CMC) in the Fashion District. Under the terms of the long-term lease, IgnitedSpaces will occupy the entire 12th floor of Building B, which is one of three 13-story structures that comprise the 1.8-million-square-foot complex at Olympic Boulevard and Main Street.
The new IgnitedSpaces facility comes equipped with polished concrete floors and exposed 14-foot ceilings. As with the company's original Hollywood Boulevard location, its new Downtown office will include a blend of flexible work spaces and signature amenities. Plans call for large private suites, multi-purpose event spaces, a photography studio, high-tech meeting rooms, a theater and a lounge.
The lease comes as Jamison embarks on the first phase of a multimillion-dollar renovation of the property, which is billed as the most significant fashion mart on the West Coast. These improvements include building-wide Wi-Fi, a new rooftop amenity deck, a redesigned retail and food court and a 35,000-square-foot fitness center and spa.
Although CMC primarily serves as a trade building for the fashion industry, Jamison has recently converted a portion of the center to accommodate increased demand for creative office space in Downtown Los Angeles.
