Two years after breaking ground in Koreatown, the mixed-use complex known as 700 Manhattan is now approaching completion.

The seven-story building is located near the southwest corner of 7th Street and Western Avenue and will feature 160 apartments above 10,000 square feet of ground-floor commercial space. The project is one of many currently underway from local developer Jamison Services, Inc.

GMP Architects is designing the podium-type structure, which contains over 17,000 square feet of amenities such as a pool deck, a club room, a dog run, and outdoor picnic, barbeque and screening areas.

Per the website of the project's contractor, Wilshire Construction, completion of 700 Manhattan is expected by Summer 2019.

A few blocks to the west, Jamison has two similar developments in the works. The first is 3980 Wilshire, a 228-unit building with ground-floor retail that broke ground in 2017. The second is a 227-unit Transit Oriented Communities project at 3875 Wilshire, which is still in the planning phase.
