Camden Property Trust continues to forge ahead with plans for the Arts District's Industrial development, according to new filings with the Los Angeles Department of City Planning.
The Houston, Texas-based firm has submitted an addendum to he mitigated negative declaraction for the project at 1525 E. Industrial Street, which would consist of a seven-story building featuring 344 live/work units above nearly 30,000 square feet of restaurant and creative office space.
The podium-type development, designed by LOHA, would feature an exterior of solid brick and metal cladding.
Previous reports have pointed to a two-year construction timeline, although a groundbreaking date remains unclear.
Since the announcement of Industrial in 2014, a variety of large mixed-use projects have been announced for surrounding properties, including a similar proposal from AvalonBay Communities and SunCal's $2-billion 6AM development.
