The wooden skeleton of a new mixed-use development is nearly complete at the corner of 4th Street and Linden Avenue in Downtown Long Beach.

The project, called the Linden, is being developed by Sares-Regis Group of Irvine.  Plans call for a six-story, podium-type building featuring 49 rental apartments above 2,550 square feet of ground-floor retail space and two levels of basement parking.  The mix of one- and two-bedroom units will come in floor plans between 700 and 1,570 square feet, with access to common amenities such as a roof deck, a fitness center, a bike workshop, and multiple community rooms.

Studio One Eleven is designing the Linden, which is wrapped with an exterior of grey, yellow, and white.  Renderings show recessed balconies on several exterior-facing units.

Construction of the Linden began in June 2017, and completion is expected in mid-2019.

Sares-Regis Group is currently building two other apartment buildings in Downtown Long Beach, one at Alamitos Street and the other on Pacific Avenue.
