Earlier this year, construction kicked off for $60-million second phase of West Hollywood Park. A pair of construction cameras now displayed on the City of West Hollywood's website will allow interested parties to track progress.
The project, designed by the architecture firm LPA, Inc., is adding a 70,000-square-foot recreation center featuring a gym, locker rooms, meeting rooms and offices. Plans also call for a competition-size swimming pool and a recreation pool atop the building's roof.
Rios Clementi Hale Studios has been engaged as the project's landscape designer, and is working to expand the green space and play areas within the park by removing several older buildings.
A full budget for the phases one and two of West Hollywood Park is estimated at $150 million.
