Work is getting underway for a new set of small lot houses near Franklin Village in Hollywood, according to a representative of developer ROM Investments.

The project, located at 1826 Canyon Drive, will consist of five single-family residences, each featuring two bedrooms, 2.5-bathrooms, rooftop decks, and two-car garages.

LOHA is designing the homes, which will use tilted exterior walls to create unique three-story structures and allow for natural ventilation and lighting.   A soft, curving exterior will be created through straight joists and panelized systems, with wood beams exposed internally.  Plans call for an exterior of aluminum slats and polycarbonate.
