Construction is now complete for Vision on Wilshire, UDR, Inc.'s new apartment tower in the Beverly Grove neighborhood.
Located at the northeast corner of Wilshire and Crescent Heights Boulevards, the 18-story building features 150 studio, one-, two-, and three-bedroom apartments, in addition to street-level retail space. Amenity decks are located at the podium and rooftop levels, including a sky deck with a swimming pool, and a terrace garden.
Steinberg Hart designed the tower, which is clad in patterned glass that blends with the building's above-grade parking levels. Thee podium steps down in height as it approaches a residential neighborhood to the month, eventually transitioning into a pocket park along Crescent Heights Boulevard.
The project is the second collaboration between UDR and Steinberg Hart along the Wilshire Corridor, following a similar apartment tower that opened last year in Koreatown.
The Vision development sits a short walk from the intersection of Wilshire and Fairfax Avenue, where construction is underway for a new subway station as part of Metro's Purple Line extension. That station will serve the LACMA campus, which is adding a new museum for the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences.
