A local non-profit developer intends to construct senior affordable housing on a parking lot in Mid-City Los Angeles, per the agenda of last week's Planning & Zoning Committee meeting of the UNNC.
Hollywood Community Housing Corporation is currently refining plans for the parking lot for the project site at 2375 W. Washington Boulevard, which is currently an unused surface parking lot. Although specific details about the proposed development are unclear, it would set aside at least some units for formerly homeless seniors.
The project has not been officially submitted to the Los Angeles Department of City Planning.
Hollywood Community Housing has developed a number of affordable housing complexes across the Los Angeles area, including a recently-completed building in Del Rey.
