After nearly four years of construction, the Dinerstein Cos. is putting the finishing touches on the Millennium Santa Monica - a new apartment complex at 2930 Colorado Avenue.

The mixed-use complex, located at the one time site of the Santa Monica Trailer Park, is comprised of interconnecting five-story buildings featuring 356 studio, one-, and two-bedroom apartments - including 38 deed-restricted affordable units - above 25,000 square feet of ground-floor commercial space.

Designed by Michael W. Folonis Architects the project is described as having a "permeable street facade," with modulated massing and varying roof heights.  On-site amenities within the Millennium will include a swimming pool, a fitness center, and a rooftop deck.

The project, previously slated to debut over the summer, is now scheduled to open this fall.

The Millennium Santa Monica is one of two Los Angeles-area projects currently under construction the Dinerstein Cos.  The other, called Millennium Hawthorne, is now rising on Crenshaw Boulevard.

Dinerstein is also part of a joint venture planning an eight-story, 265-unit apartment complex in Gardena.
