A gas station at Melrose and Highland Avenues has been demolished, clearing the way for the construction of a new apartment building on the corner property.
The project site, first pointed out by photgorapher Michael Hayes, will yield a four-story building featuring 19 apartments over ground-floor restaurant space and an subterranean parking garage.
City records indicate that Vanos Architects is designing the low-rise building. A rendering shows a contemporary design highlighted by an all-glass skin imprinted with supergraphics.
Additional details about the project are unclear.
