A couple blocks south of Metro's Expo/Bundy Station in Sawtelle, a new development is now rising from a long empty property at 2344 Bundy Drive.
The project, which sits at the southeast corner of Bundy Drive and Tennessee Place, is a five-story duplex that will also include ground-floor commercial space and a recreation room.
The new building is listed among the portfolio of co-living landlord Cohaus, which displays the project on its website. Renderings depict a contemporary low-rise structure capped with a rooftop deck.
The number of bedrooms, and how they would be rented out, is not indicated on the firm's website. At the time of publication, an e-mail requesting additional information did not receive an answer.
New construction on the east side of Bundy Drive serves as a prelude to a much bigger plans on the west side of the street, where Carmel Partners has approvals to build more than 600 homes on a pair of large, empty lots.
