In Chinatown, a small mixed-use building is now under construction on a long-vacant property just south of the 110 Freeway.

Located at the northeast corner of Hill and Bernard Streets, the project consists of a four-story building and a smaller two-story structure featuring nine apartments above a parking garage and 375 square feet of ground-floor retail space.

The podium-type building is smaller in scale than recent developments in Chinatown, highlighted by the $100-million Blossom Plaza complex at Broadway and College street.
