Two blocks north of Expo/Crenshaw Station, the Retirement Housing Foundation is now midway through construction on its latest affordable housing complex.

The property, known as Crenshaw Gardens, is located at 3411 Crenshaw Boulevard.  The completed building will rise five stories, featuring 49 one-, two- and three-bedroom apartments atop 5,500 square feet of ground-floor retail space and parking for 68 vehicles.

Lahmon Architects is designing the mixed-use complex, which consists of wood-frame construction over a concrete podium.

RHF is also in the midst of construction on a senior affordable housing development a short distance north at Crenshaw and Adams Boulevard.
