A coin laundry in East Hollywood could be redeveloped with apartments, according to plans submitted yesterday to the City of Los Angeles.

The project site, located at 4537-4545 W. Santa Monica Boulevard, is slated for the construction of a seven-story, 23-unit mixed-use development featuring subterranean parking.

In accordance with Transit Oriented Communities incentives requested for the project, plans call for 19 market rate units and four very low-income affordable units.

City records list the project's applicant as the Tustin-based entity Equity Investments, LLC.

The Code Solution, a planning and architecture firm, is also attached to the project.

Two blocks west of 4537 Santa Monica, another property owner is looking to redevelop a swap meet with a 177-unit apartment complex.
