Miami-based developer Lennar Corp. has broken ground on a mixed-use development featuring multifamily housing and retail space in the Irvine Business Complex, the project's architect announced this month.

Central Park West Renwick, located at the northwest corner of Jamboree Road and Michelson Drive, will consist of a series of low-rise structures featuring 285 residential units, approximately 9,800 square feet of commercial uses, and parking.

Kevin Tsai Architecture is designing the development, which is depicted as a collection of contemporary seven-story structures linked by a series of podium-level amenity decks and pedestrian walkways.

According to the website of C2 Collaborative - a landscape architecture firm working on the project - plans call for clubhouse and a two-acre pool and amenity deck.

Construction is expected to conclude in December 2022, according to a representative of Kevin Tsai Architecture.

Lennar is developing multiple other housing projects in Southern California, including new townhomes in Whittier, Alhambra, Arcadia, and Anaheim.
