Across the street from the E Line's Culver City Station, wood framing is complete for a mixed-use development that will be the site of housing and the new headquarters of a local engineering and construction firm.

The project, located at 3727 S. Robertson Boulevard, is being developed and built by Icon West, Inc. The five-story building will feature 5,000 square feet of offices for the company when complete, accompanied by 12 two-bedroom apartments, 1,700 square feet of ground-floor commercial space, and parking for 23 vehicles.

The project is relatively modest in scale compared to other developments spurred by the nearby Metro station, including the $350-million Ivy Station complex, which includes apartments, a hotel, retail, and office. Apple is also building a more than 500,000-square-foot office campus a block east of the station at Venice and National Boulevards.

The adjoining stretch of Robertson was recently improved with new bike and bus infrastructure through a Culver City project.
