In Palms, wood framing has reached its peak for another mixed-use apartment complex from Helio at Overland Avenue and Tabor Street.
Located at 3555 Overland Avenue, the new six-story building is to feature 64 studio and one-bedroom apartments above 1,395 square feet of ground-floor retail space and a 69-car garage when completed.
City approvals granted for the project included Transit Oriented Communities incentives, permitting a larger building than would otherwise be allowed by zoning rules. In exchange, six of the apartments are to be set aside as deed-restricted affordable housing at the extremely low-income level.
Reed Architectural Group is 3555 Overland, which is shown in plans with an exterior of stucco and concrete, as well as amenities such as rooftop terrace decks, a small courtyard, and recreation room at the second floor.
The project is the third Overland Avenue development for Helio and Reed Architectural Group, joining a 188-unit apartment complex completed across the street and a 119-unit building built on the opposite side of Tabor Street.
