Vertical construction is complete for the Camden Hollywood, a new residential-retail complex from the Houston-based Camden Property Trust.
The $140 million development, located at the intersection of Selma Avenue and Vine Street, consists of a seven-story structure which will feature 287 apartments, 40,000 square feet of ground-level reail space and 750 underground parking stalls.
Designs from Los Angeles-based TCA Architects call for an extensive array of recreational amenities, including a a pool deck with an outdoor spa. Other features include a dog park, a landscaped garden and an "artists' annex," with a musician's studio and movie screening room.
In addition to resort-style amenities, residents in the future apartment complex will also have VIP access to a variety of nearby restaurant and nightlife venues thanks to Camden's partnership with Sam Nazarian of SBE Entertainment. This luxurious atmosphere permeates to the building's ground level, which will house an outpost of the high-end Equinox Fitness chain.
Construction of the Camden Hollywood is expected to reach completion in 2016. Rents in the low-rise complex are expected to range from approximately $2,000 to $4,000 per month.
The project is located catacorner to an eight-story office tower currently under development by the J.H. Snyder Company.
