Next week, the Los Angeles City Planning Commssion will consider a proposal from Crescent Capital Partners to construct a mixed-use building at the corner of Melrose Avenue and Beachwood Drive in Larchmont.
The proposed development, designed by the Cuningham Group, would consist of a five-story building feature 52 studio and one-bedroom apartments above approximately 5,500 square feet of ground-floor retail space. The project would set aside five apartments for very low income households, and sit atop a parking garage for approximately 76 vehicles and 64 bicycles.
Renderings of the podium-type building portray a contemporary design, with outdoor amenities such as a podium-level swimming pool and a rooftop amenity deck.
The Los Angeles Planning Department has recommended that the Commission approve the project, which is one of several new residential communities that have recently come to the Larchmont area.
