Three small commercial buildings near the intersection of Olympic and San Vicente Boulevards could make way for a mixed-use development, according to plans filed last week with the City of Los Angeles.

The proposed development, which would rise from a quarter-acre property at 6001-6011 W. Olympic Boulevard, calls for the construction of a six-story edifice which would feature 57 residential units and 1,600 square feet of ground-floor retail space.  The project's case filing does not offer any additional information.

Property records list the owner of 6001-6011 Olympic as an entity called Ogden Garden, LP, an affiliate of West Los Angeles developers Wiseman Residential.

The project site is located just east of the so-called Fairfax "asterisk," where Olympic and San Vicente intersect with Fairfax Avenue.   A five-story, 144-unit development known as VINZ was completed at the asterisk last year.

Plans were recently filed for a six-story, 46-unit apartment building a few blocks away at 5891 Olympic Boulevard.

Wiseman is one of the more prolific developers of rental housing in the City of Los Angeles, with developments on the horizon in Carthay, Hollywood, and many other neighborhoods.
