At the intersection of Pacific Coast Highway and Palos Verdes Boulevard in Redondo Beach, wood framing now complete for a mixed-use development from the Legado Companies.

Legado Redondo, which is being built on a roughly 4.3-acre site at 1700 W. Pacific Coast Highway, includes a new five-story podium-type complex which will feature 115 residential units atop nearly 22,000 square feet of street-fronting retail and restaurant space when completed. Plans also call for parking below the building.

Next door, the Palos Verdes Inn is also being renovated as part of the project, and will eventually reopen as a 110-key hotel featuring a modern exterior and a rooftop pool deck.

Two years after fencing appeared around the perimeter of the former Palos Verdes Inn.

A 12-year, $75-million loan was issued for the project in early December 2019, according to the Los Angeles Business Journal.
