Architecture firm Newman Garrison + Partners and Cusumano Group have announced plans for Olive Stations, a mixed-use development in Burbank's industrial area.
The proposed seven-story building, located west of San Fernando Boulevard and the Burbank Metrolink Station, will feature 327 studio, one-, two-, three- and four-bedroom apartments, including both market rate and affordable units. Plans also call for numerous common spaces - including a fitness center, a game room, a media center and a pool deck - as well as ground-floor commercial space with a grocery store.
Renderings of Olive Stations portray a "contemporary industrial look" that echoes its industrial surroundings, with a steel frame structure fronting its signature intersection.
The subject property, which has been owned by the Cusumano Group since the 1970s, is located at the corner of Olive Avenue and Lake Street, in close proximity to a Nickelodeon's expanded Burbank campus. Completion of the new apartment complex is expected by 2021.
