Work is continuing in Palms for the Roy @ Overland, a $16-million mixed-use complex from partners Anejo Development, LLC and Griffin Opportunities, LLC.
The project, now rising on a half-acre site at 3644-3658 Overland Avenue, will consist of a six-story structure featuring 92 studio, one- and two-bedroom apartments above 1,500 square feet of ground-floor retail space. Plans also call for eight units of very low income housing, in addition to underground parking for 105 vehicles.
Santa Monica-based architecture firm KFA is designing the podium-type building, which is highlighted by a rooftop deck and a landscaped courtyard that opens to the street.
The Roy is operating on an estimated 18-month construction schedule, per environmental documents published by the City of Los Angeles. Completion was previously on track to occur in late 2017.
