Six months after we last dropped by, construction has topped off at a mixed-use apartment complex on Melrose Avenue in East Hollywood.
The six-story building, located at the southeast corner of Melrose and Serrano Avenue, will feature 51 apartments and 2,000 square feet of ground-floor retail space upon completion. Plans also call for six very low-income affordable units and parking for 44 vehicles.
Designed by Warren Techentin Architecture, the building will have a U-shaped footprint above its podium deck, wrapping around a central courtyard.
The project is being developed by Hollywood-based investor Andre Sabetfard.
Similar mixed-use buildings are planned at 4658 and 4918 Melrose Avenue.
An affordable housing development is also in the works at 4760 Melrose Avenue.
