A pending final presentation to the Pasadena Design Commission reveals more tweaks to a proposed multifamily residential development at 270 N. Los Robles Avenue.

The project, which we first reported on in mid-2020, would rise from a property at the southeast corner of Los Robles Avenue and Corson Street, replacing a surface parking lot. Plans call for a six-story edifice which would feature 105 studio, one-, and two-bedroom apartments - including eight very low-income affordable units - above subterranean parking for 161 vehicles. Plans also call for amenities such as a gym and rooftop terrace decks.

LCRA is designing 270 Los Robles, which is retains the contemporary style seen in a presentation to the Design Commission from March 2023. However, several changes have made to what was previously a mostly white and grey exterior, incorporating wood-grain aluminum cladding as an accent.

Based on the changes made to the project, a staff report recommends approval of final design review for 270 Los Robles.

City records list the project applicant as CDB Investments, LP.

The project is one of a handful of recent developments located just south of the 210 Freeway in Pasadena, including the nearby Theo apartments on El Molino Avenue.
