Architecture firm DEX Studio has announced the completion of the Frame Venice Lofts, a multifamily residential complex in Mar Vista.

The project, located just south of Venice Boulevard at 12636 W. Matteson Avenue, consists of a five-story building featuring 29 residential units above a parking garage.

DEX designed the low-rise structure with natural wood siding woven into its entry gate.  The building's mass is pulled back from street by stacking the apartments to create a rooftop amenity deck.

A similar multifamily residential building from DEX recently opened in Hollywood.

A larger mixed-use building is also in the works slightly north along Venice Boulevard.
