R.D. Olson Construction has announced the start of work for Kings 838, a new apartment complex in West Hollywood.
The project, named for its address at 838 N. Kings Road, is being developed by Darmos Properties. Plans call for a four-story building containing 25 one- and two-bedroom dwellings atop an underground parking garage. Other project components would include a car wash station, a fitness room, a yoga room, and a third-floor pool deck.
The development team for Kings 838 includes Workplays Studio Architecture, Schnackel Engineers, KPFF, Burnett & Young, tk1sc, and Aron Nussbam Studio.
Completion is anticipated in summer 2019.
The Kings 838 site is located south of the street's intersection with Santa Monica Boulevard, where a 48-unit rental development known as the Crown was completed in 2017, and a 25-unit condo building is set to open later this year.
R.D. Olson, which is based out of Orange County, has built a number of residential and hotel projects across Southern California.
