In Larchmont, construction is underway for a new multifamily residential building near the intersection of Melrose Avenue and Wilton Place.

The project, which replaced two single-family dwellings at 667 N. Wilton Place, will consist of a five-story edifice featuring 34 studio, one-, and two-bedroom apartments above a single level of subterranean parking.  In exchange for density bonus incentives permitting a larger building than allowable under the property's zoning, the project will include three units of deed-restricted very low-income housing.

DE Architects is designing the apartment complex, which is depicted in a rendering as a contemporary low-rise structure consisting of four levels of wood-frame construction atop a concrete base.  Approved plans call for an exterior of aluminum siding and concrete.

Building permits list the project applicant at 667 Wilton, LLC, which took over from Syndcore Holdings, LLC, the entity which entitled the property for development in 2018.

667 Wilton, LLC shares a principal with Beverly Grove-based property management firm MTD Properties, Inc.

The development site is located a short distance east of Paramount Pictures Studios, as well as the site of a larger mixed-use apartment building taking shape at Melrose and Beachwood Avenues.
