Plans for a mid-rise apartment building without on-site parking have taken a step forward in City West, with the start of the project's environmental review period getting underway.
The proposed development, slated for a 7,400-square-foot parking lot at 1018 W. Ingraham Street, calls for the construction of an eight-story, 95-foot-tall building featuring 37 residential units and nearly 2,000 square feet of ground-floor commercial space. The applicant has also requested a zone variance to allow for 41 parking spaces to be provided for residents and commercial tenants in an off-site garage.
A site plan included with the proposed development's initial study indicates that it is being designed by HKS Architects.
The Real Deal has reported that the Amidi Group is the project's developer. The Redwood City-based company recently broke ground on a nine-story, 376-unit complex just one block north on Wilshire Boulevard.
The initial study estimates that construction would occur over 16 months, but does not estimate a groundbreaking date.
