In Long Beach, a new mixed-income development from Habitat for Humanity of Greater Los Angeles is taking shape near the A Line's Anaheim Street Station.
Located at 200 E. 14th Street, the project consists of four different buildings containing 36 condominiums in two- and three-bedroom floor plans ranging from 1,215 to 1,550 square feet in size.
Most of the homes would include standard two-car garages at the ground-floor, although four of the units would have just a single parking space each. In total, 68 parking spaces are planned.
The three-story structures are to be clad in materials including stucco and fiber cement siding, with pedestrian entrances along 14th Street. Automobile access would be oriented toward Locust Avenue.
According to a project brochure, 16 of the homes are to be sold to low-income households. The remaining 20 homes will be priced at market rate.
Habitat for Humanity has previously developed a similar for-sale development a short walk to the east on 14th Street, and is slated to build a third project one block to the north on 15th Street.
