Commune Hotels & Resorts, a San Franciso-based lifestyle hotel management company, has announced the upcoming construction of two new hotels in Hollywood as part of its continued national expansion.
A half-acre property at 1523 Wilcox Avenue will birth the Thompson Hollywood, a 10-story structure featuring 200 guest rooms with views of the Hollywood sign and Downtown Los Angeles. Amenities in the mid-rise tower, designed by the New York-based Rockwell Group, would include multiple food and beverage venues. The building's penthouse level would offer an outdoor pool deck, supplemented by a restaurant and a fitness center.
The other project, known as tommie Hollywood, would be located south of the intersection of Cahuenga and Sunset Boulevard. The hotel would be the third location for the boutique tommie brand, and its first located outside of New York City.
Both hotels are expected to break ground before the end of 2015, with completion scheduled for 2017.
