Vertical construction is complete for the Huntington Medical Research Institute's new biomedical research building in Pasadena, and exterior work has now commenced for the project.

The three-story building, located mid-block along Fair Oaks Avenue between Pico and Fillmore Streets, broke ground in late 2015.  At completion, it will expand HMRI's footprint by 35,000 square feet.

Perkins + Will is designing the low-rise structure, which is scheduled to open in early 2018.
