An empty lot in Harbor Gateway is slated for the construction of new small lot homes, according to an application filed with the L.A. Department of City Planning.
The proposal from Luigi Schiappa Development, Inc., slated for an L-shaped lot at 16215 Bonsallo Avenue, calls for the construction of nine townhomes. Each would stand two stories in height and include two or three bedrooms above a ground-level garage.
Dir Design, Inc. is the architect for the homes, which are portrayed in renderings with contemporary exteriors of board and batten siding and cement plaster.
While the property is given the address of Bonsallo Avenue, the site is located interior to a block, and is surrounding by homes to the east and west. The homes are arranged in a single row around a common driveway, and connect to Bonsallo through a single parcel which is to be left as a driveway access point to the property.
A portion of the property is listed as surplus land by the City of Los Angeles.
