The Mahalia Apartments, a joint venture Decro Corp., Daylight Community Development, and Angelino Supportive Housing Partners, will rise from a corner site located at 11604 W. Vanowen Street.  Plans call for a three-story edifice featuring 49 studio, one-, and two-bedroom apartments, in addition to on-site supportive services and resident amenities.

According to a June 2020 staff report to the California Tax Credit Allocation Committee, the units at Mahalia are to be priced for households earning at or below 30 and 50 percent of the Los Angeles area median income.  Rents are expected to range between $548 and $979 per month.

Studio One Eleven is designing the project, which will be composed of prefabricated modular units arranged to accommodate a courtyard, as well as ancillary features such as a laundry facility, community rooms, supportive services, and a kitchen.
