Seven months after our last update, the Los Angeles LGBT Center's Anita May Rosenstein Campus continues to push toward completion in Hollywood.

The first phase of the project, which made its debut in May 2019, consists of supportive services and new administrative offices for the LA LGBT Center.

The second phase of the project, which is being developed in partnership with Thomas Safran & Associates, consists entirely of permanent supportive housing.

On the west side of the campus at 1119 N. McCadden Place, exterior finishes are now being applied to a five-story structure which will offer 35 apartments for homeless youth.

One block east at Las Palmas Avenue, a second apartment building is now fully-framed.  The six-story structure will feature 100 units of senior affordable housing.

Both projects are being designed by Culver City-based KFA Architecture.

The Anita May Rosenstein Campus is located one block west of AVA Hollywood, a 695-unit apartment complex recently built by AvalonBay Communities.

In addition to housing and supportive housing, the campus recently saw the opening of the Liberation Coffee House, located at the northeast corner of Santa Monica Boulevard and McCadden Place.  The cafe is operated by graduates of the LA LGBT Center's Culinary Arts program.
