In Hollywood, the Los Angeles LGBT Center is putting the finishing touches on two permanent supportive housing developments next door to its new Anita May Rosenstein Campus.
On the east side of the campus along Las Palmas Avenue, construction is coming to a close at the Ariadne Getty Foundation Senior Housing Complex.
The six-story building will feature a mix of 100 studio, one- and two-bedroom apartments. Save for two manager's units, all of the apartments are reserved for low-income adults aged 62 and older.
The KFA Architecture-designed development has a curved exterior clad in smooth stucco and wraps around a central courtyard.
Completion is expected in Spring 2021, according to a project website.
One block west at 1119 N. McCadden Place, exterior finishes are also being applied at the Michael John Horne & Thomas Eugene Jones Youth Housing.
The five-story building includes 26 apartments for transition-age youth - ranging from ages 16 to 24 - who are at risk of homelessness.
Like the Ariadne Getty Building, the youth housing is also designed by KFA Architecture.
Thomas Safran & Associates is managing the building, which is also scheduled to open in Spring 2021.
