Construction is nearly finished for a new pocket park just west of Crenshaw Boulevard in South Los Angeles.
The South Victoria Pocket Park, located at 6537-6541 S. Victoria Avenue, transformed a long-vacant lot into community green space which featuring fitness equipment, benches, a picnic area, basketball hoops, and a children's play structure.
The project was built by The Trust for Public Land, in partnership with the City of Los Angeles, the HELPER Foundation, and the Urban Peace Institute.
The Trust for Public Land recently completed a similar community green space in East Hollywood.
