Gardenhouse, Chinese architect Ma Yansong's first residential project in the United States, continues to take shape in Beverly Hills.

The project, which is being developed by Palisades, is located on a corner lot at 8600 Wilshire Boulevard. The three-to-five-story building development will feature 18 residential units, including three townhomes, eight condos, five villas and two studios.

The design is described as a "hillside village," with units set atop a podium structure wrapped with a wall of succulents and vines.  Retail space will activate the property's ground level.

A completion date for the project is currently unclear.

Palisades recently announced for a multi-tower development at the former headquarters of the Metropolitan Water District at 1111 Sunset Boulevard.
