The City of West Hollywood has issued a notice of intent to adopt a mitigated negative declaration for a proposed three-story commercial development along the Sunset Strip.

The project, which would replace an apartment building, calls for the construction of a 22,000-square-foot structure that would feature office and restaurant space above a four-level subterranean parking structure.  A total of 138 vehicle spaces would be provided within the garage.

Rick Moses Development is the company shepherding the project through the approvals process, in conjunction with architecture firm Hodgetts + Fung.

Any action by the City of West Hollywood would occur after the close of the study's comment period.

The project has previously received praise from the West Hollywood Planning Commission's Design Review subcommittee, according to WEHOville.  An earlier iteration of the project was imagined as a mixed-use building featuring apartments rather than office space.

The project site sits at the northern terminus of La Cienega Boulevard, and across the street from a $300-million multi-building project that was completed this year by CIM Group.
