Two years after commencing work in Downtown Santa Ana, Toll Brothers is putting the finishing touches on Rafferty, a mixed-use development near the OC Streetcar.
The project at 401 N. Main Street, a joint venture with EFJ Capital, LLC, consists of two buildings which will feature a combined total of 218 rental apartments, 12,350 square feet of ground-floor commercial space, and parking for 328 vehicles.
A leasing website advertises a mix of studio, one, and two-bedroom floor plans with rents starting at $2,500 per month and ranging as high as $5,885 per month.
MVE + Partners is designing the project, which sits at the intersection of 4th and Main Streets. The five- and seven-story buildings include references to nearby historic structures, such as a former Montgomery Ward building, and will feature amenities including a courtyard swimming pool and a rooftop deck.
At the time work commenced in late 2021, completion of Rafferty was expected within 30 months.
Rafferty is not the first new development to sprout along the path of the OC Streetcar, a roughly four-mile at-grade rail line which is now set to open in 2025. National CORE has also developed Legacy Square, an income-restricted development with commercial space, near a future streetcar stop.
