A report earlier this year by the Los Angeles Times offers up a first look at Adler Realty Group's plan to reinvent a dated Warner Center office park with a $1-billion mixed-use complex.
The 24-acre site - located Burbank Boulevard and De Soto Avenue - calls for the construction of 2.6 million square feet of programmed space, consisting of nine total buildings that would feature approximately 1,000 residential units, a 228-room hotel, more than 1 million square feet of office space and 80,000 square feet of shops and restaurants.
A rendering of the project shows a collection of mid-rise and high-rise buildings, bisected by new interior streets and pedestrian walkways.
The Times reports that a full buildout of the development would likely occur over the course of 15 years, but that Adler hopes to break ground on the residential component of within 18 months. That would place a start date for the project in late 2018.
Adler joins two other developers proposing large, multi-building projects in Warner Center, including the Westfield Corporation and Boston Global Investors. A fourth development may also be headed for a large parking lot owned by health insurer Anthem, Inc.
