Torti Gallas + Partners has unveiled a rendering for the PATH Villas South Gate, a new affordable housing complex planned near the L.A. River.
The project, which would rise at 5610 Imperial Highway in the City of South Gate, calls for the construction of a four-story building featuring 60 studio and one-bedroom apartments for veterans and formerly homeless individuals.
Renderings portray a contemporary low-rise structure, accented with metal panels.
Developer PATH Ventures is currently in the midst of construction on similar affordable housing projects in Rampart Village and Inglewood, and has plans for another ground-up development in Hollywood.
The South Gate development was recently included as one of nine affordable housing projects - creating over 550 residential units - that were approved by the Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors last week.
