After one year of construction, Encore Capital Management is putting the finishing touches on a new small lot subdivision in Eagle Rock. 

The project, located at 4515 Eagle Rock Boulevard, sits a few blocks west of the campus of Occidental College.  It consists of 38 single-family dwellings, including seven live/work units featuring ground-floor retail space.

Elements of Scandinavian design are prominent in the project, which is named "Arla" - the Swedish word meaning "good morning."  The design team - which includes KTGY Architecture + Planning, Rachel Allen, Deirdre Doherty Interiors, and SALT Landscape Architecture - has conceived of houses which include sloping rooftops.

Sales prices for the houses - which range between one- and four-bedroom floor plans - start at $799,000.
