In Westlake, work is just about complete for a new affordable housing complex West Hollywood Community Housing Corp.

The Third Thyme apartments, located at 1441 W. 3rd Street, consists of an eight-story building featuring 104 one-bedroom senior apartments. Included in that total are 47 units for formerly homeless residents and two units for on-site managers The remaining apartments would be set aside for renters earning  between 50 and 60 percent of the area median income level.

64North designed Third Thyme, which has a stucco exterior accented with wood slats. In addition to housing, the project includes a community room, a fitness center, a laundry facility, an open-air courtyard, and a rear yard.

The project is one of two developed West Hollywood Community Housing on adjoining sites in Westlake, following the neighboring Miramar Gold complex.

Other upcoming developments from West Hollywood Community Housing include a proposed mixed-use development in Long Beach.
